Management Team

The team behind RedTxt has extensive Internet and marketing experience. During 1999-2001, we built the fastest growing Internet service provider in Australia and globalised the underlying technology with Concert plc a $10B joint venture between AT&T and British Telecom through an investment of over $40M. From 2003 we developed one of the leading independent premium email services. We are now focused on making SMS a mainstream communication channel.

Sydney Low — Founder

Sydney has over twenty years of business experience in technology-based businesses. Most recently he establisehd an email service that commercialised a patented spam-management technology. Sydney co-founded Sharinga Networks Inc and seven other companies in the past 16 years. He has also held senior executive roles in banking at Potter Warburg, intellectual property law at Weigall & Crowther (now Deacons), and management consulting at McKinsey & Company and Mitchell Madison Group. He holds law and science degrees from Monash University.

Matthew Walker — Technology and Operations Director

Matthew has over ten years experience in designing, developing and managing complex network environments. He has worked in Australian and USA-based fast-growing technology companies. He has extensive experience in network-level switching hardware, identifying, sourcing and procuring equipment and services critical to the success of technology businesses.

Jane Poletti — General Counsel and Commercial Director

Jane is a qualified legal practitioner with 14 years experience with prominent Melbourne law firms Andersen Legal, Freehills, and Gadens; and 3 years as General Counsel with a venture-capital funded technology company. Jane has led numerous capital raisings, conducted due diligence on both sides of the table and negotiated multi-million dollar transactions for vendors and purchasers.

Russell Morris — Strategic Partnerships Director

Russell is a former AFL player with over 16 years experience in sports marketing and sponsorship management. He is the founder of the Get Going Foundation, a not-for-profit school sport program and was most recently the national sponsorship manager for Skins apparel.

Nick Orloff — Marketing Director

Nick has extensive experience in building businesses in retail and online sectors. Nick was the founder of Planet Internet, growing a local ISP to national covereage. He co-founded ThreeBells, an SMS aggregator and Bugal, a ringtone and logo marketing business. He most recently created one of Australia's largest independent toy distributors Variety Toys and developed a party-plan distribution channel Toys@Home.

Heath Rudduck

Heath is a Boston, USA-based, senior executive at Digitas, one of the leading digital and direct marketing agencies. He has worked with some of the world's leading brands including Mercedes, BT, Michelin, Mobil and Yellow Pages. He has over 16 years experience in advertising, most recently as the Executive Creative Director of Tribal DDB, one of Australia’s largest digital-marketing companies. Heath sits on RMIT University’s Advertising and Communication development board and is a past-president of the Melbourne Art Directors’ Club.

Stan Beer

Stan has 25 years experience as a media and communications consultant specialising in technology. He is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of iTWire, Australia's leading independent news and information website covering the IT and telecommunications industries. During his extensive media career, Stan has worked for all of Australia's leading news publications including the AFR, The Australian, The Age and Sydney Morning Herald, as well most major industry titles. He has also managed the technology practice as strategy director of Royce Communications, a large Melbourne-based PR and investor relations consultancy.
